As David Amerland pointed out in his response, attributing “blank slate” to Pinker is incorrect, because Pinker argues against it not for it.

If I had a way to strikeout this attribution, I would make the correction more obvious.

Here’s another critique of the idea that are “reflexes” are the exclusive result of our experiences. Jonathan Haidt says, “The worst idea in all of psychology is the idea that the mind is a blank slate at birth.”
