Disappointing to whom?

I don't think you mean that it is disappointing to you, as a bartender. Or to the dancers.

At first I thought you were trying to communicate some sort of sympathy with or projection onto the wife's disappointment... but then I realized you were probably talking about how disappointing it is to your customers -- the men -- and it made more sense to me.
