Hahahahahaha! I think I get your sense of humor Keith Seckel.
Lemme give it a try.:
“Insecurity” is an understatement! Sometimes, what pansexual women write on Medium reduces me to a gelatinous blob of fear, anxiety, and feelings of total inadequacy! It’s a wonder I can find the strength to reboot my computer.
Some writers on Medium have a bad habit of writing about their intimate relationship (i.e., marriage) as if the person with whom they are IN the relationship with doesn’t have a perspective worth mentioning. When Darcy Reeder wrote about sex with her husband without sharing his reaction to her writing, the absence is deafening.
She filled in that blank when she added a response saying that her husband is proud of her writing, and I take her word for it.
Medium is a female dominated platform, that pushes female authors, writing from a female perspective, about a female agenda, as if the men they’re writing about exist only as objects for enabling female experiences.
Darcy Reeder’s writing can do soooo much better than that.
Medium tag counts:
“Toxic masculinity” = 834
“Toxic feminism” = 12
“Toxic feminity” = 2
4:1 female:male sounds like an accurate portrayal of the Medium gender perspective to me.
