I don’t know how this gets “walked back.” It’s already gone so far.

We never saw the end of the Cold War via the collapse of the Soviet Union. Maybe the end comes not with a bang, but with a whimper.

When does the EU dissolve? When does the Communist Dynasty in China collapse under its own unproductive weight? When do New York City and the State of Illinois file for bankruptcy? When does the stock market crash?

What happens when the Baby Boomers finally lose their grip on the reins of US political power?

Any and all of these seem inevitable, and still a long way off.
