It makes sense to me Meli G that both men and women seek partners to whom they are sexually attracted and compatible — i.e, “keep up,” as you put it.
No judgment there.
This perspective is also interesting. Ursula Burns is famous for being the first African-American female CEO of a major US corporation, and she credits her marriage to a much older man as critical to advancing her career. It’s an interesting twist on age and intersexual dynamics. It reminds me a bit of Steve Jobs and Joan Baez, which would be the reversal (younger man dating older woman).
