Medium loves to push articles at me from women authors who are trying to figure out what their vagina is and (more importantly) what it is not.

I don’t know why so many women are confused on this point, or why the Medium algo thinks I should be reading this stuff, but the proliferation of femsplain pieces based on “My vagina is not ___” indicates that we’ve reached pandemic levels of confusion.

Perhaps the Medium algos are suggesting to me that I might help clarify female misconceptions that are predicated on what Brianna Bennett admits is a deficient middle school sex education.

I cannot.

That task is better left to more competent authors like A.J. Kay, who have more experience with vaginas than I.

Of all the “My vagina is not ___,” articles, hers is the best one.

Here’s her response to the idea that a “tampon” should not be called a “plug”.
