The reason that you felt excited, nervous, happy, and relieved while reading this was because you imagined yourself doing things that cause an autonomic nervous response (your fight or flight system is kicking in) because you were thinking about running, and winning. When your body is thinking about running and winning it signals for the release of things like Adrenaline and dopamine. What you think and feel manifest in real physical actions.
