Sometimes things make sense to readers in different ways than they make sense to authors.

Publishing means giving up control of how people read it, and the way they make sense of it.

One of the cool things about Medium is that it affords the opportunity to have real conversations between readers and authors, rather than the imagined conversations that happen in our heads as we read and write.
