I recently rewatched Master and Commander to help me understand how I wanted to communicate in my relationships. I discovered my answer in this scene:

The line I needed for my situation was “What would you have me do?”

And I’m pretty sure I might wind up paraphrasing “I invite you to this cabin as my friend, not to criticize my command.”
