…w a lot about a lot of things. I’m not seeing the connect of your data points to my piece, however. The average woman in the U.S. does not have more money than the average man in the U.S. (see the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics data referenced in my essay), and a single woman does not have access to the “shared money” of a relationship if she is single.
It seems like you know a lot about a lot of things.

You cited BLS data on income, which is not the same as money.
Men have higher incomes.
Women have more money to spend because they receive payments from men that are not counted as income in the BLS data.
Your point about single women do not have discretion over spousal income is only true for those single women that are not collecting alimony and/or child support from their former spouses. But I get your point.
We do agree that I know a lot of things about a lot of things.
